How Long Can Dependents Have Health Insurance Coverage for in Florida?

by Florida Office of Insurance on July 12, 2011

Let's say John is married to Susan and they have a 22 year old daughter Amy. John is employed at a company and that is where he gets his insurance from. He has his entire family insured.

Until what age can Amy be covered until? And can she keep coverage if she is not a full time student?

She can stay on the policy until she is 23, if she is a fulltime student she can stay on longer. My name is Lora and I work with ASSURANT HEALTH and if you need to get a seperate policy for her I can get her a affordable rate, just let me know and I can send you some info. lojo2213@live.com or lojo2213@yahoo.com I hope this was helpful.
